What are the Bubba’s?
As Florida Keys residents and frequent visitors may know, the Bubbas Awards are put on each year by Keys Weekly to honor the best businesses, organizations, and individuals in the community. They are the Key’s version of “best of” in our community. The lower, middle and upper keys hold a vote throughout the summer and fall every year, and hold wonderful events to celebrate the winners in each category. Proceeds from sponsorships go to Keys AHEC, a local organization that provides free medical attention and low-cost dental care to underprivileged children in the Keys. As part of the Bubbas Awards, Keys Weekly held a raffle for several prizes, with the proceeds going to AHEC. This year, the raffle raised over $55,000!
We are honored to be a Bubba recipient this year and hope to keep the trend going for years to come!
